About the Creator
Aaron Rice was born in Georgia, shuffled to Texas then raised in sunny Northeast Ohio (he remains a proud defender of the city of Cleveland). He studied jazz saxophone at The Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and earned a B.A. in Music Performance from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK.
Aaron has studied sketch and improv comedy at The Second City Detroit, The Second City Conservatory Chicago, iO Chicago and Groundlings Theater Los Angeles. He is an original member of iO Chicago’s long form improv team “Inkling” and an alumni of the critically acclaimed sketch comedy group “Stir Friday Night,” which is proud to have been a spring board for talented actors including Danny Pudi (Abed on NBC’s “Community”) and Steven Yeun (Glenn on AMC’s “The Walking Dead).
Aaron now resides in Los Angeles, CA. He performs monthly at Second City Hollywood and iO West with Second City’s “Minority Report,” in “Second City Late Night,” and with the two-man improv and sketch group “Real Tall Kids,” which Aaron founded with his comedic partner in crime Matt Sirchia (more at realtallkids.com)
In 2011, Aaron was cast as Ben in the pilot project “The 1570″ and as an ensemble player in the sketch comedy pilot, “The Northside.” He is currently cast as Gary in the film “Get Away,” going into production in the July of 2012. Aaron can also be seen in national commercials for Budweiser, Nissan and Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Schools among others.
